What “Trade Like a Pirate” Actually Means
People hear the pirate branding and expect swagger. Swords on charts. A catchphrase in every sentence. That misses the point.
Pirates operated on clear rules. Share the loot by a formula. Vote the captain out if he made bad calls. Know the risk before boarding the ship. No one sailed blind and hoped for the best.
My trading works the same way. I define my stop before I enter. I size positions with a formula, not a feeling. I follow the regime filter, and when the rules say no trade, I sit on my hands.
The pirate thing is a brand. The discipline underneath is the real signal. “Trade Like a Pirate” means trade with rules, not with hope. Follow a system. Own your losses. Keep the process clean.
That is the whole philosophy. No mysticism. No guru posture. A framework, executed with discipline, documented in public.
