From Poker Tables to Stock Charts — Why I Finally Made the Switch

Twenty years of poker. Not as a hobby — as income.

I got an engineering degree, built a career in automation and IT, but poker stayed. The edge. The extra income. The game I understood better than most people in the room.

Poker has a ceiling. The stress, the hours, the variance — you can play a hand perfectly and lose because someone called off their stack on nothing. I knew I wanted to trade for years. Never got around to it.

I tried day trading first. Disaster. Too fast, too noisy, too much screen time for no edge I could find.

Then I found Qullamaggie.

His streams and book recommendations changed how I saw it. Swing trading clicked immediately — patient, systematic, the best setups obvious once you know what to look for. Stocks where the EMAs are tight and starting to rise. Wait for the breakout. Manage the risk. Move on.

It reminded me of poker — not the chaos, the discipline underneath. Position sizing. Expected value. Knowing when to fold.

The difference is scale. In poker your edge is capped by the stakes you can play and the hours you can sit. In trading, a good setup works the same whether you’re risking €50 or €5,000. The math doesn’t change. Your discipline does.

Starting with €1,000. Every trade documented publicly. No courses, no signals behind a paywall. The trades, in real time.

Watch me build.
