0 Signals This Week — And That’s the Point
SPY closed Friday at $669. EMA10 at $675. EMA20 at $674.
Bear regime. Scanner ran 5,261 tickers and found nothing that qualified.
Some traders hunt for something to do in markets like this. Tweak a parameter, lower a threshold, convince themselves a setup is “close enough.” That’s not how this works.
The WB-IPO system has one regime rule: if SPY is below both the 10 and 20-week EMA, longs are off. Not reduced. Off.
The backtest is clear — long signals in bear regime produce +4.58% expected return vs +12.57% in bull. Same risk, less than half the reward. No thanks.
The short scanner ran too. 5,261 tickers. Nothing qualified there either.
Cash is a position. Boring is profitable.
I’ll post again when the market gives a reason to.
